Forced Adalberto Mondesi to retire. Legend has it he has been spending too much time visiting his father, Raul in a dominican prison. He also now confined to a lifetime of wheelchair activities. After his recent surgeries, Adalberto can now be found on the baseball fields of the Dominican Special Olympic baseball team where he has hit a robust .571 AVG and rolled out 13 infield hits. “Fastest wheelchair baseball veteran I’ve ever seen”, quipped one anonymous Dominican baseball reporter.
